Nick Bumgardner is a food, beverage, and product photographer based out of Nashville, TN.
Last summer I was asked by my friends at Fletcher Rowley to shoot production stills and images for a possible billboard and newspaper ads. I was super excited to work on this shoot because it was my first advertising shoot in about three years. I think we were able to knock this one out of the park! Read MoreFor three years I worked as a product photographer for Saks 5th Avenue at the LaVergne, Tennessee Off 5th Avenue photo studio. It was one of the greatest experiences of my career so far. That said it was shooting in the studio every day on a white seamless background. When I left Saks I decided that I wanted to shoot more editorial. This shoot for Clarcor was one of my first editorial pieces after working at Saks. Editorial provides me an opportunity to get outside the studio, to meet new people and see some really cool places.

Some of my fondest memories for childhood are from going with my Grandmother early in the morning to get donuts from Koehler's Bakery. It has been almost 20 years since I went to Koehler's Bakery, but I can still remember the scent of the bakery it is right next to a laundromat so it has a rather unique smell. When I was a kid I would always get a Long John and to this day it is my favorite. We would go back home and I would stuff my face with donuts while watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the couch. I was living the life. Keep reading to see more delicious doughnut photos.
